Pharma markets a range of antibiotic products in the UK
and Europe. Predominantly our antibiotics are of the cephalosporin
class which achieve their objective by interferring with
the ability of bacteria to build nad maintain cell wall
integrity. Holes therefore appear in the cell wall causing
the bacteria to break down and die.
In the
main these antibiotics are of the broad spectrum variety
and can be used as treatments for respiratory infections,
renal infections, soft tissue infections, meningitis and
treatment of bacterial-based STDs, such as gonnorhea.
Patients
(around 10%) with an allegy to penecillin may also experience
similar allegy symptoms to cephalosporin antibiotics.
